Footloose In America

HELLO?

I wonder what it's like to get a call from me?

How does it feel to answer and hear me on the phone?

Is it an adventure, or just another bother?

Would I be glad I answered, or wish I didn't have a phone?

How would it be if you dropped in on you sometime?

Open the door and, "Surprise!" You are standing there.

What would it be like to know I were coming to visit?

How would I respond to such an impending affair?

What is it like to get an overdue letter from me?

One in which I try to explain why I haven't written.

How would if feel to think you'd been cheated by you?

Would you let yourself have a chance to be twice bitten?

Imagine having to take your own advice.

Placed in a situation subservient to you.

What would it be like to have me as a boss?

How would it be to have to do what I said to do?

Or what would it be like to have me as a subordinate -

An employee, an assistant, or my right hand man?

Suddenly in the position of being my employeer

Trying to get out of me all that I can.

How would it be to be loved by you?

That soul that shares your bed at night.

What would it be like to have me comfort me,

Wrapped in my arms - holding me tight?

I wonder what it's like to get a call from me?
